I’ve committed to a gentle, intentional 30-day weight loss reset plan— not calling it a challenge. It is coming back to myself – lighter, refreshed, more agile, more active and more in love with myself. I have planned to do a lot of outdoor cooking alongwith mindful eating, and soulful routines followed with deep, unapologetic rest. This Weight Reset Plan is my very own personal, sacred, and realistic attempt — designed to support steady fat loss, reduce cravings, and reconnect me with my body of 53 years.

✨ My Daily Framework
6:30am – Warm lemon water + stretch
7:30am – Ginger & tulsi chai with 1 cookie (this one is completely non-negotiable)

12:00pm – Main meal (preferably cooked outdoors) — dalia, khichri, salad, or bowl of mildly sweet & crunchy granola cereal with milk (almond, soy)
4:30pm – Early dinner — moong daal chilla with spinach, chinese style vegetable soup, or green moong daal khichri

7:00pm – Light final snack — fruit, yogurt, makhana, or fennel water
All day – Hydration with saunf/mint water

10:00 to 10:30 pm – In bed or asleep

✅ What I’m Using (and Leaning on)
Outdoor Kitchen – Preferably all meals are cooked outdoors using simple tools: a wok, pan, and Instant Pot. No fancy gadgets—just real, fresh food.
Fresh Garden Produce – My seasonal garden provides me with fresh green veggies like Spinach, Collard Greens, different varieties of Kale and Mustard, Beans, Gourds (Bitter, Bottle, Ridge), Pumpkin, Okra, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Eggplants, Peppers, and a variety of fresh aromatic, medicinal herbs like Holy Basil (Tulsi), Thai Basil, Lemon Basil, Parsley, Oregano, Thyme, Fennel, Chamomile, Anise, Bergamot and more…
Daily Ritual Tracker (in Canva) – I made my own printable to check off: lemon water, tea, meals, movement, and rest. (see below to download the Printable I use)
Instagram Stories – I try to post either meal clips, little garden moments, and one journal reflection or quote.
Flexible Meal Framework – I rotate a few core meals like khichri, dalia, chillas, and simple sautéed vegetable bowls. It’s importatnt that I include foods I am used to, find delicious, warm and comforting during this type of reset. (Will share recipes soon.)
Simple Ingredient List – I don’t usually need lists, but it’s helpful to have a small handwritten list on the counter for the week: ginger, moong dal, brown rice, tulsi, lemon, methi, makhana, etc.
Gentle Movement – No pressure. Most days it’s a 10-minute walk in the garden (I would love to walk barefoot but my lawns are completely grass free and having over 200 roses in my garden adds a thorn or two in the pathways that I like to avoid stepping on, ouchhh!!) or 3 yoga stretches on the mat (or more if my body allows).
Spiritual Structure – A grounding affirmation, a small moment of prayer, or lighting incense before I cook or stretch—it brings presence to the process.
